Cut paper
I've been messing around with designs cut out of paper.

Two more weeks of school and then the boy gets vacation. On one hand it will be nice to be on another schedule , on the other hand I have piles of work to do so having to get up early and getting to work on schedule is nice.
.
I bought a handful of new drawing pencils today. Derwent pencils are the best! The line that Derwent sketching pencils make is so buttery and smooth.

kneaded erasers. I love them.
And good quality pastels. and a nice tooth on my paper...

I've only recently become a fan of kneaded erasers. I bought a couple of new ones with the pencils.

seeds fresh from a packet, a brand new pad of paper, bookmarks already in the book, darjeeling tea leaves, fresh scones off the griddle.
I went to Keswick several years ago and didn't have time to go through the pencil factory. I regretted it then and mourn the decision now. So close -
but I did go to Derwent Lake and watched the ducks skid about on the iced shores.

I've never tried selling things on Etsy. I sold one watercolor a couple of years ago on eBay for forty dollars.

This was an interesting article on Etsy...

My aunt sold things at craft fairs for years and seemed to make a bit of money. I'd say, keep doing what you love and so as much research as you can.

Best thoughts,

Marilyn.

i just love your blog, Marilyn! I must show your work to my 13 yr. old son who likes to draw cartoons. He will be as inspired as I am! Best, D.
