We are all about the manias around here.
We are all into hobbies around Casa Del Aguas. I make paper toys, the wonderhub gardens and builds guitars, the Boy makes cities our of Legos and is learning to calibrate watches.

Here's the label that I did for the inside of the hub's guitar. You can read about the whole thing here....

Here he is practicing timing a watch.

And here is my adorable nephew Ollie with my sister-in-law Wendy making marble mice. He's been taking batches of them to his preschool.

What are your hobbies and manias? What would you like to learn in the future?

Have fun!

Wow, the concentration that the boy is showing is truly amazing. Such focus and attention to the slightest detail. The years of working with Legos and other small parts really manifest themselves in other activities later on, which is clearly being demonstrated here. Good going!

Love the pictures of calibrating watches. I have a fairly horrible sense of time and have to wear a watch at all times to not feel entirely lost. My grandfather could time races horses by hand, which requires an amazing sense of time (he bred horses and did harness racing). I inherited other genes of his, but not the timing thing at.all.

Hobbies: folk dancing: Morris dancing, contra dancing and English Country dancing; photography (bf just bought me a new camera since my old camera was stolen in 2006 and we haven't been able to afford a new one until now, I'm awaiting film!!); and I'm currently new to knitting, and while I like it all in theory and usually understand instructions and what you're supposed to do I don't think I'll ever be very good at it, but it is fun and makes for something to do while listening to books on tape :)

I've been a knitting fiend the last few weeks. I haven't finished the shopping bag I'm working on, but I have learned several ways that it can't be finished, one of which produces a very ugly flower-like thing instead of a shopping bag :)
