Writing, Drawing, Writing

I've been in a writing, painting, drawing and rewriting frenzy these last few months, so I haven't really blogged much. Life has pretty much looked like this..
The boy cracked me up with these super hamburgers that he made. They were the size of baseballs, stuffed with green chilies and cheese.
McQueen and Mister Pretty sit on my desk and keep me company.
The Wonderhub is making another Selmer classical and a tenor ukelele. The wood grain is beautiful. The ukelele has a turquoise sound hole inlay.
I've been baking a lot lately. It's inexpensive and tastes so much better than store bought. The brown loaf is made with whole wheat, rye flour, coffee and cocoa powder. Delish!
How about you? What's cooking in your kitchen?

There is a privacy about it which no other season gives you.... In spring, summer and fall people sort of have an open season on each other; only in the winter, in the country, can you have longer, quiet stretches when you can savor belonging to yourself.  ~ Ruth Stout

Ah, there you are! I'd taking to wondering where you wree, but I should have realized you'd be working like a busy little bunny.

I misread "tenor" as "tender." A tender ukele. I wonder how that would sound.

I had been in soup mode for a while but tonight we just had Chinese takeout. That bread does look delish. Hmmmm. I honestly have been thinking about garlic knots lately.

Forgot to say, the kitties are looking fine, and that little cat mug is adorable.

Thanks, Meggins! The Kitties are fat and sassy. I guess I'd have to play "Love Me Tender" on a Tender Uke. Right now I'm working one learning "Girl From Ipanema" and "Minnie the Moocher"

Soup is always good. I'm thinking corn chowder sounds good. :-)

I'd have to play "Love Me Tender" on a Tender Uke.

Bwah, hah, hah!

Those other two are quite a contrast (the songs and the ladies). "The Girl" is all soft, mysterious, beguiling swaying. Minnie is, well, we know what Minnie is, but she has a big yheart.

I enjoyed reading Ruth Stout's books back when I was a kid.

"How about you? What's cooking in your kitchen?"
One of the BEST new foods I've cooked lately was Italian Wedding Soup. It's really good with some homemade bread on a cold winter's night.

Veggies cooked in chicken broth, little meatballs, some pasta and some spinach...it's good for what ails you!
